About
I'm Safeeullah Samir, CTO and co-founder at DigiLawyer.
I set technical direction, make product and engineering tradeoffs, and build the systems behind the product.
DigiLawyer
DigiLawyer is a legal technology company built around AI-assisted legal work.
I decide what context a model gets, which actions it can take, where access is enforced, how behavior is evaluated, and what happens when a run goes wrong.
I work where product and engineering stop being separate conversations. That means deciding where state lives, what should be automated, what needs human judgment, and what the team should build next.
What I work on
Most of my current work is in legal AI. The problems are broader: agents, retrieval, evaluation, infrastructure, software architecture, and how technical work changes as models become more capable.
I care about the product boundaries around these systems as much as the models inside them. A system still has to fit the work, enforce access correctly, and keep working in production.
Writing
I write about AI, software, and the decisions that only become obvious when the thing has to work.
